Ge-Angelo’s…locally
owned; managed with good ol’ fashioned traditional
family values; offering excellent homemade Italian
cuisine!
Native
Iowans and Ge-Angelo’s owners Ryan and Tina Colburn
returned to Ames from Kansas City to fulfill their
mutual dream of owning a restaurant, and to raise
their family. “We want our children to experience the
great opportunities this community provides and be
close to our families,” Tina says.
The Colburns have
thoughtfully integrated their love of this community
into their restaurant. “We encourage families to come
and eat with us. We bring out some pizza dough for the
kids to play with, and will be more than happy to
start the dinner if people call ahead so the kids
don’t have to sit for too long,” Tina says.
Ge-Angelo’s can also
be an adult-only event of friends, good conversation
and great food, or a romantic evening for two by the
fireplace.
“We want people to
think of us as a come-asyou-are family restaurant, but
also feel comfortable dressing up and enjoying an
intimate dinner that won’t break the budget,” the
couple says.
Come for just the
great appetizers, such as the Italian nachos or hot
peppers, with an accompanying 18-ounce schooner of Ge-Angelo’s
Margarita. Or choose from a wonderful array of Italian
favorites (including a nice variety of vegetarian
dishes), such as:
- spaghetti
(meat-based sauces or fresh tomatoes with garlic &
spices)
- lasagna (meat
blend with three cheeses or a noodle and veggie mix)
- ravioli (Ryan
makes the ravioli dough from scratch)
- eggplant parmesan
(one of Tina’s personal favorites)
- pizza
(hand-stretched and individually prepared with 100%
mozzarella)…just to name a few
It’s also the
perfect choice for your next occasion, such as an
office gathering, birthday party or a wedding
rehearsal, accommodating up to 50 people. Whatever
your pleasure, come experience Ge-Angelo’s. Ryan and
Tina Colburn will make it an evening to remember!
